The content on this website is for educational/non-profit purposes only.

The information is not to be used for monetary purposes even if you are part of a non-profit organization.  Educators are allowed to distribute information to their students; the StoryMaps can be printed off by educators.  If you are not a certified teacher or home-schooling parent, you need permission to use any information including the StoryMaps, Cemetery Maps, primary sources and illustrations on other websites.  Our ability to use some illustrations and primary sources has been through obtaining permission from their original sources/owners or through purchasing the right to use them.  Researchers and genealogists may use our information as long as you cite the website and the sources contained within the website.  We ask that you respect the hard work that we have done by not claiming the research, the StoryMap contents, the Cemetery maps and primary sources as your own.  We are willing to share but we ask that you email Dr. Kimberly Sebold to gain permission to do so if you are not using this in an elementary, middle or high school classroom, or a home school setting.  You may link to this website but you cannot embed the items on this website into your own website or work without permission from Dr. Kimberly Sebold.
