Each student who has worked closely with the University Times (Utimes) deserves recognition upon completing their degree. This semester, we are proud to celebrate several graduating students, and we are excited about the journeys that lie ahead for them.
One of these graduates is Ruth Dan.
Dan joined the University Times this past semester, working closely with the Utimes mentor and faculty lead Jen Lynds. During this time, Dan contributed several stories to the publication and brought a unique international perspective to the team.
Based in Denmark, Dan participated remotely through the YourPace program, demonstrating strong commitment and adaptability. Dan majored in Professional Communication and Journalism and completed the program in just under two years.
Looking ahead, Dan is keeping options open. Travel plans lie ahead for Dan. In the longer term, Dan hopes to pursue opportunities in reporting or advocacy media, beginning with freelance work for smaller organizations while seeking a more permanent role.
Congratulations!
