Bailey Rosentreter, 18, of Cheyenne, Wyoming is a business marketing major at the University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI). She chose the college for one big reason: volleyball. As a member of the UMPI volleyball team, she’s most excited for the athletic season and the chance to compete alongside her teammates.
The transition from high school to college was a little rough at first, but Bailey says she’s starting to find her rhythm as the semester goes on. Balancing classes and athletics is a challenge, but she’s settling into a routine that works for her.
Beyond volleyball, Bailey is looking forward to athletics in general, both as a participant and as a photographer. She enjoys capturing moments for UMPI’s sports teams and is especially excited for her photography class this semester.
She’s set one personal goal: to graduate early, ideally a year or more ahead of schedule, so she can start building her future sooner.
If she had to describe UMPI in three words, Bailey would choose fun, entertaining, and side quests. She explained that the campus is full of high-energy personalities and spontaneous adventures, from chasing the northern lights to road trips that turn into unforgettable stories. For her, UMPI life feels like an exciting mix of academics, athletics, and unexpected experiences.
