The new editor of The University Times, Belen Dougherty, interviews Professor Jen Lynds as the new advisor and former student editor of the paper. Jen Lynds is an adjunct professor at the University of Maine at Presque Isle, where she teaches English, communication, and journalism. She holds a master’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University in English/Fiction Writing. She is currently pursuing a second master’s degree in American History. Lynds was a journalist for Bangor Daily News and Northeast Publishing Company for 23 years. She continues freelancing as a writer and copywriter. She is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success and the Sigma Tau Delta-Alpha Phi Beta, International English Honor Society. An award-winning writer, she garnered several Maine Press Association awards.
