Some students describe Dr. Chunzeng Wang, who is a Professor of geology, environment and GIS at University of Maine at Presque Isle, as humorous and kind. He came to UMPI in August, 2005, from Hunter College in Manhattan, New York.

Do you remember that we lost a lot players due to injuries last game? Do you remember what Cody Blair definitively said after the last game? “We just need to get all guys healthy and have our starters back. We will see what happens once they come back.” Yes, they recovered and came back. That means that their confidence will return, their power will recover and they will prove themselves.
April 20 was University Day at UMPI. On that day students faculty, staff and community members were all welcomed to attend poster sessions and presentation. One such presentation was “Are Students Being Punished by Rewards?” featuring Vannessa Hodgkin, Michelle Tardif and Karen Cote.
Have you been to Gentle Hall this semester? Many people at UMPI would say yes. Gentle Hall is always filled with people. Students and employees release stress and train their bodies there. Working out should be a good way to lead you to be health.
The IBU 2016 World Cup Biathlon was held at the Nordic Heritage Center, Presque Isle, Maine, Feb. 11-14, 2016. All the people involved with the Nordic Heritage Center were so excited to have this big event and welcome the athletes from all over the world. The staff members for this event are as remarkable as the athletes, because they are all volunteer. They are from different places and have different jobs. But they come for one thing: to contribute their time and passion for this big event.
Winning always belongs to the people who are prepared. That certainly applies to basketball games. If you practice hard, have good strategy and continue to the end, you are prepared and you get a very big chance to win.
