“Drink Up“
What evidence had e’er there been that life was solely good;
That humankind was so refined, and acts just like it should?
The misty haze of younger days reveals the hidden truth:
From grave to birth, for what it’s worth, is flavored like vermouth.
So mix it up with something grand and take it slow and steady,
And every sip of joy and pain you’ll find you are quite ready.
So savor flavors all, life gives, until you’ve lost your head;
For every lifeblood drinker knows that life will leave you dead!
“To Have and To Hold”
I keep staring at my hands
Wondering who they belong to.
