There are two calico sisters at the Central Aroostook Humane Society named Polly and Dolly. These two girls were raised together and love each other very much. In fact they’re almost inseparable. When they were first brought in they were put in separate cages and both were having trouble adjusting and were very difficult to interact with. The CAHS staff noticed this and put them together in a larger cage. After this they both became more sociable and even began playing with people when they came in to look at animals. “These cats need each other, one without the other is lost,” Dezarai St. Peter, CAHS employees said.
You can come by and see the girls at 24 Cross St. Presque Isle, Maine at the Central Aroostook Humane Society. They’re open Tuesday through Saturday from 10a.m. to 4p.m. Both of the girls are seven pounds and one year old with almost identical calico markings. They are very difficult to tell apart, even causing CAHS employees to question who is who. “They were both eager to get attention but one of them was shy,” Alex Kimball a visitor of the humane society said. Their personalities are one way to tell them a apart for sure, Polly is much more outgoing and Dolly is more laidback. They get along with each other and others fantastically and need to be adopted together. If there’s room in your home for two lovable felines then please pay them a visit.
