Movie Trailer in Words:
“All the President’s Men” submerges you in the biggest political scandal of the century. From the opening scenes of the Watergate break-in to the gates of the White House, the tension only builds. The intense arrest of the five intruders, makes you feel as if you’re witnessing American history firsthand. Up and coming journalist for the Washington Post, Bob Woodward, investigates the arrests. Woodward was under the impression that he was investigating a break-in at the Democrat National Committee, but finds big names among the lawyers already involved in the case. Ben Bradlee, the executive editor for the Washington Post, knew this case was too big for a rookie to handle. Bradlee assigned Carl Bernstein to collaborate with Woodward.
Ambitious Woodward and the experienced Bernstein dove into the case. They searched endlessly for connections after one of the burglar’s address books was found with a phone number into the White House. Both followed every lead they had. They were persistent until they put together a jigsaw puzzle in the shape of the committee to re-elect Richard Nixon.
Every ex-member of the committee was afraid to speak about their time working for Nixon’s reelection. Woodward and Bernstein knew that they were already in over their heads asking questions, but they would not stop until they uncovered the whole truth. The increasing danger and mystery to this film will immerse you into the life of an investigative journalist.
