The University Times staff is interviewing students across campus as part of our “campus voices” project. Staff writers are profiling faces fresh and familiar to forge stronger relationships within our campus community. Check the UTimes website each week to see each new profile!

Eve Griffiths is a junior at the University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI.)  She is a secondary education major with a concentration in art and science. Griffiths plans on teaching middle school, and has an affinity for art. She works as a residential advisor and participates in a variety of campus activities as a member of the art and education clubs. Originally from Washington, Griffiths has resided in Maine for about seven years. She has family members in close proximity to the university.

Griffith, who attends various campus events, analyzed what made UMPI stand out above other colleges.

“UMPI is a small community,” she explained. “Everybody knows each other. Large colleges have more to do, but UMPI is more personalized.”
