There is a young cat at the Aroostook County Humane Society who is in need of a great home. Her name is Katie and she’s approximately a year old. She’s an adorable cat who is very loving and affectionate.
Katie is a special example of a loving animal. While she has been with ACHS she has taken in two litters of kittens that weren’t hers. She was a great mother to her own kittens as well as two other litters. Dezarai St. Peter, an employee at ACHS commented on how hard it is to find a cat that will do that.
She’s also playful, but very gentle while she plays. She loves being petted and lying on your things, as most cats do. She doesn’t mind being held and loves attention.
“She’s been here six months and many cats go stir crazy but she didn’t,” St. Peter said. “She’s definitely an optimist and she’s very cute.”
“The way Katie crawled into my lap it was easy to see how she adopted another cat’s kittens, she was so loving,” Alexander Kimball said. Kimball goes to the shelter regularly.
Overall she is a great cat and would make a great addition to a loving family. She’s located in the cat room at the ACHS and she’d love a visit.
