\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>My name is Ralph McPherson, and I am a clinical social worker serving in the capacity of school counselor.\u00a0 <\/span>This is my eighth year of serving the students at our fine school.<\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>The counseling office is a confidential place for students to come and talk about their problems or to receive extra support. \u00a0 <\/span>Students can face many challenges, such as adjustment to college life, time-management skills, relationship issues or they may experience a general sense of feeling overwhelmed.\u00a0 <\/span>There are times, however, that students can face other health-related issues such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse or other emotional and social issues.
