The day was a chance for interested people and their families to come to UMPI and get a sense of what the school has to offer and also to ask any questions about UMPI or college in general.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Meghan Schneider, who was an attendee of Discovery Day from Houlton, Maine really enjoyed the event. \u201cI think it\u2019s a beautiful campus. It\u2019s very nice, with big rooms,\u201d she said. Schneider also said, \u201cI\u2019m really considering going here. I\u2019m going to apply.\u201d She is grateful that everyone on campus was very helpful and provided her with good information that will help her decisions about where and how she will further her education.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Deborah Hodgkins, an English professor at UMPI, went to Discovery Day looking forward to speaking with possible students. She was very impressed. \u201cI thought it was one of the better ones we\u2019ve had,\u201d she said enthusiastically. Her favorite part of the Discovery Day was the lunch with the visitors. She enjoyed the more one-on-one setting and thought it was a great idea. \u201cI really liked the lunch. It gave you more time and had a relaxed atmosphere.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Discovery Day is a great opportunity to explore UMPI and learn about its campus and what it has to offer educationally. It\u2019s very important to learn and discover things about colleges you are considering.
