Utimes President Christie Oneill asked the Utimes staff for their favourite tips and tricks for self care!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Isiah Mitchell starts his mornings with movement.&nbsp;Mitchell explains that he does a Chinese exercise routine every morning.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His roommate, Waylon Jones, joked about waking up to the routine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHas anyone seen the sea lion video where they are doing the craziest things?\u201d Jones said with a laugh. \u201cI wake up to that. I love it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Briana Diaz says her self care is simple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI just love getting into my bed and being warm,\u201d Diaz said. \u201cMy days have gotten so long, and my heater doesn\u2019t work.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jones said his busy schedule does not always allow for much downtime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMy days are so long,\u201d he said. \u201cI love watching TikTok and YouTube.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ruth joined the conversation via Zoom and said exercise is her go-to form of self-care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI love going for a run or doing an at-home workout,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Professors Jen Lynds and Dan Dobbs take a creative approach. Lynds said she enjoys writing and painting and plans to teach herself how to draw. Dobbs said he enjoys putting together Legos and dioramas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Self care is especially important for students and staff at the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Whether through exercise, creativity, rest or something entirely unique, taking time to reset and recharge can make a meaningful difference. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Self care offers the perfect opportunity to rewind and reset.
