The following papers recount the agricultural history of Central Aroostook County in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. \u00a0They were written by Justin Howe as part of his undergraduate research project. \u00a0He was also employed to do some of this research through an EPSCoR grant. <\/span><\/p>\n

These are lesson plans that deal with how to teach local history within the context of larger historical events at the state, national and world level. \u00a0Some of the lesson plans also deal with teaching students about the impact of agriculture on the environment in the nineteenth century. \u00a0These lesson plans were made in conjunction with a larger land use survey sponsored by an EPSCoR grant.<\/p>\n
