During the Spring 2009 semester, UMPI will once again serve as a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site. VITA offers free tax help to people who cannot afford paid professional assistance. Student volunteers, trained in tax law and certified by the IRS will prepare and electronically file the Federal and State(s) income tax returns for qualifying taxpayers.
To get your income tax return prepared by the volunteers please come to the Library, Room 201. See details of the tax clinic operating hours and the information you will need to bring.
For further information, please email Patric Edward at patric.edward@umpi.edu or call Linda Mclaughlin at 207.768.9740.
