Job Opportunity at Pines
Hello everyone. In case you hadn’t heard, I am the new Director of Accounting at Pines Health Services. We have recently had a position open up in our Billing Department. It would be Anthem Blue Cross Insurance billing. The main responsibilities of the job include billing for services, recognizing cash receipts, working denials, and normal billing functions. I am going to include a copy of the job description for you to give to your interested students. We would prefer students who will be graduating this year and are ready for the work force. If someone is looking to go on, we may still be able to work with them, but we would have to come up with some way to do that as it is a full time position. No previous experience is necessary, as we can teach what they would need to know. If you have any interested students, please have them forward a resume to me, either by email at this email address or by mail to Pines Health Services, PO Box 40, Caribou ME 04736. We are hoping to review resumes late next week and start interviewing the week after with potential starting dates in mid May (right after graduation, if need be). Thanks for your attention to this and hope to hear from your students soon.

I traveled to a lot of developing countries such as Romania, Turkey, Lebanon, Kazakhstan and I enjoyed it. In 2005 I moved to Moscow, Russia in order to focus on investments in the republics of the former Soviet Union .

Internship Opportunity with the Presque Isle Area Chamber of Commerce

Monday, August 11th, 2008

The Chamber of Commerce is seeking a mature student in the business program to develop and setup “Made in Aroostook” sales and promotion program at the Chamber of Commerce office at 3 Houlton Rd. The emphasis is on the areas served by the Presque Isle Area Chamber of Commerce, but items from the rest of the county will not be excluded.

The Intern will find, with the assistance of members, a variety of vendors who may be starting their business or looking for an additional opportunity to display their products. We have a short list of vendors who have expressed an interest. Due to the slow turnover and the limited amount of cash to purchase inventory, it would be beneficial to the Chamber if the goods were here on consignment.

The Intern would be asked to prepare the display area, arrange the accounting for the receipt and sale of goods, develop supplier contacts and relations, in conjunction with the office staff.

There would be a need to present the information to the media for promotion of the location. Obviously this is not a primary business for the Chamber, but due to the number of visitors that stop here and local people looking for information, there is an opportunity to sell locally produced items.

The Intern would also be responsible for maintaining inventory, i.e. calling suppliers to ensure their product was available.

The Intern may also be asked at times to assist with the general office activities, answering phones,  greeting visitors etc.

If you are interested in the opportunity, please contact
